One of today’s mobile jobs took us to St Austell to work on this Peugeot 308 2.0 HDi, which had been suffering from fault codes and warning lights after some previous work.
The owner had already carried out a physical DPF delete himself and correctly realised that the ECU software also needed adjusting for the car to operate properly. On inspection, we also identified that the vehicle had previously undergone an AdBlue delete, but was still logging NOx sensor communication fault codes.
Correcting Previous ECU Work the Right Way
We’ve worked on several Peugeot 308s over the years, and it’s not uncommon for us to see vehicles that have had incomplete or poorly implemented software solutions.
This job itself was straightforward from a technical perspective, completed via the OBD port using our Alientech KESS 3. However, when the ECU file was analysed by our calibration partners at Viezu, they immediately confirmed the presence of a previous AdBlue delete.
This highlights one of the key advantages of choosing Kernowsport — we’re backed by the UK’s largest and most experienced tuning company, giving us visibility and insight that many standalone tuners simply don’t have.

Why Software Quality Matters for AdBlue Deletes
This Peugeot is a perfect example of the difference between quality AdBlue solutions.
Many cheaper or poorly developed AdBlue deletes rely on:
- Physically unplugging sensors
- Disconnecting pumps or control units
- Masking faults rather than resolving them
The Viezu-developed solutions used by Kernowsport do not require unplugging components. Instead, all associated fault handling is correctly addressed within the ECU software itself.
In this case, the previous tuning company had resolved the fault codes by unplugging the AdBlue unit, which is why the vehicle later required further attention. Had this been done properly in software from the outset, a second visit would not have been necessary.
Another Previously Worked Vehicle Fixed Properly
This is the second vehicle this week where we’ve been able to diagnose and permanently resolve issues left behind by previous ECU work.
At Kernowsport, we pride ourselves on:
- Correct diagnostics
- Clean, OEM-safe software solutions
- Honest advice when vehicles have been modified before
