Today’s work saw us heading to Liskeard, but our morning started with an urgent call from Dave, who was on his honeymoon in Bude. His Audi SQ5 had triggered the dreaded AdBlue countdown warning, which could have left him stranded far from home. We were called out to another AdBlue-related emergency, our fourth one this week—and it was only Monday! Liz, a Peugeot 208 owner from Praa Sands, was understandably stressed. Emergency AdBlue Fix and Performance Remap for a VW Crafter Camper – Newquay, Cornwall We received a message at 11:30pm on Saturday night from Steve and his wife, who were travelling from Manchester when their VW Crafter camper van triggered a warning: the AdBlue countdown light had come on while driving along the A30 in Cornwall. This poor customer had driven all the way from Wales to enjoy a well-earned holiday in Cornwall—only to be hit with the dreaded AdBlue countdown on their Seat Alhambra Estate. With a faulty sensor and not enough miles left to get home, their relaxing break suddenly turned stressful. Luckily, they gave Kernowsport a call, and we were more than happy to help. We headed straight out to their holiday site in Hayle and got to work on the spot. To make matters worse, their car was a 2011 model—one of the unlucky few from that year fitted with AdBlue—so this wasn’t a common fault with a quick fix. But no worries—we’ve seen it all before. As always, our trusty Starlink internet connection came to the rescue, allowing us to complete the job even in a no-signal area. We sorted the issue quickly and let them pay by card before sending them on their way—problem solved, holiday saved. Here’s hoping they come back to Cornwall next year—minus the car trouble!
