Today’s job was one of the most challenging we’ve faced at Kernowsport. We were called to Rosudgeon near Helston to resolve a serious AdBlue fault on a 2022 Isuzu Grafter LCV. The dashboard warning showed only 44 miles left before the truck would be disabled – meaning we had to act fast to keep it in service.
Initially, we thought this would be a straightforward job, but it quickly turned into a test of patience and skill:
- ECU Access Challenge: The truck is a cab-over design, with the ECU securely bolted in place, making removal time-consuming.
- Dual ECU Setup: Unusually, this Isuzu Grafter had not one but two Bosch ECUs – the second entirely dedicated to the AdBlue system.
- No Existing File: There was no pre-existing tuning file for this exact model, meaning we had to write custom modifications from scratch for both ECUs.
Thankfully, owner Les was patient and understanding as we worked through the process. After hours of careful work, we completed the custom programming, reinstalled both ECUs, and successfully cleared the AdBlue faults.
This little Grafter is now back on the road and ready for many more years of reliable service. At Kernowsport, whether it’s a simple remap or a complex multi-ECU job, we go the extra mile to get your vehicle running right.
If your vehicle is showing AdBlue faults or is close to going into limp mode, our AdBlue delete and fault repair service in Cornwall can help keep you on the road.
